Problem: After you operated the notebook without a power supply,­ and then plug it back in,­ the system does not clock up the CPU speed.­ Solution: Download the patch attached below and unpack it.­ To install it,­ please follow this instructions: - execute the file AMD.­EXE and enter a folder name e.­g.­ c:\temp - click on Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager - here,­ all system components are displayed.­ Double click on CPU - the driver "mobile AMD Athlon" will be displayed.­ Double-click on this component to open its properties - now click on Driver -> Update driver -> Install from a list or specific location -> Next -> Don't search.­ I will choose the driver to install.­ -> Next -> Have disk -> Browse - now select the folder which you specified earlier.­ In this case c:\temp - select the file K78QFE.­INF,­ then click on Open,­ then on "OK" - you should now see the AMD K7 CPU as selected hardware,­ and with a click on "Next" this driver will be installed To finish the installation,­ just click on "Finish".­ The new driver now is installed.­ After a reboot,­ the clock of the CPU should be adjusted automatically.­
